Free Recover Data When USB can’t be Recognized

Case for USB not recognized

“I have recently had a problem with my flash drive, a SanDisk Cruzer Micro (U3 enabled, 4 GB). It cannot be recognized by my normal computer. I have tried it on an older computer that I have, as well as computers at my college that I have used. In all instances, it has come up as an unknown device.”

If the USB drive is no longer workable, is there any way to get access to the data in the drive once more time and save them elsewhere? This is really a headache but common problem for us. Oh, no. Actually, there’re two questions ready for you. First, how to recover data from unrecognized USB drive? Secondly, is it possible to fix the error USB? Considering data in USB may be overwritten by continual operations, you should restore data from the media in the first place.

Possible Ways to Fix Unrecognized USB

Asking for advice from those with strong computer skills, I get three possible ways to fix this issue.
  1.  Shut down and reboot your computer. Then check if the USB is still undetected.
  2.   If the first method doesn’t work, please do as follow: Right click on My Computer ->> Select Manage ->> Select Storage ->> Select Disk Management ->>If you can find your USB drive, it is good that you fix USB not recognized error by this method.
  3.    Oh, above methods are still useless? Just go to right click on My Computer ->> Select Manage ->> Select Storage ->> Select Disk Management ->> Select Change Drive Letter and Paths ->> Select Change ->> Select a different letter (a message will pop up to ask you "Changing the drive letter of a volume might cause programs no longer to run, are you sure you want to change this drive letter?”) ->> Select Yes. Then your USB drive can be recognized under "My Computer".
